MaluMika is a uniquely creative space in Wrocław that allows you to paint and burn your own ceramics. I was responsible for creating the entire brand - logo, creative aids, business cards and website. After brainstorming with the Amanda, the founder, we decided on a modern, high-contrast colour scheme that can be seen throughout all the materials, as well as the workshop itself. The logo was supposed to be extremely clean and minimalistic, but relating to the workshop's core function: painting ceramics. The font was custom made for this logo and can be seen in the small emblem adaptation as well.
One of the key materials I prepared for MaluMika were the technique cards - each describing a different method of painting ceramics, each with its own design and a dedicated minimalistic icon. The process that the piece goes through had a custom icon set as well. In addition to printed materials, the various design elements adorned the studio space, balancing the atmosphere at MaluMika between homely coziness and the organised cleanliness of a typical crafts workshop.
The brand's identity was topped off with a responsive website built on a custom theme, continuing the minimalistic look while utilising the company's identity. Small visual accents were used to draw parallels between the design of the website and the process of making ceramics as well as printed materials available at the studio. The staff has also received branded business cards to complete MaluMika's new image.
